I. General program changes (for all design types)

Output lists

Unit overview list:
Flexible lists – Beta version for testing

(Only program versions 64-bit.)

If you have set the language for the program interface as German, you will find the Use flexible list (beta) option in the settings for the Unit overview list. By checking this box, you are able to create a custom template in the List & Label Report Designer, optimised to suit your specific area of use. In the WYSIWYG Editor with live data preview function, you can select numerous form fields to design the list layout. In the Output options dialog box, only the options that will impact your template are displayed in the settings for the list.

Please note:

This is a beta version of this new function. Give it a try! The output of the Unit overview list that you are familiar with is still the default. After carrying out your test, you can easily return to the default by unchecking the box for Use flexible list (beta).

Order

Interface with basket in Schüco Connect

(Germany only as of 2021 R3 SP03.)

As of this version 2021 R2 SP03, when the program is installed in Germany, the new Schüco Connect button can be found in the Output menu ribbon.

By clicking the button, the material from a selected item is transferred directly to your basket in Schüco Connect in accordance with your settings, where you can then continue the order process in a way that is transparent and easier to plan.

You can find more information about the Schüco Connect service portal on the Schüco website under My Workplace > Schüco Connect.

CE marking

UKCA marking for the UK market

(As of 2021 R3 SP03)

The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is the new British product marking required for certain products that are to be sold in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It concerns most products that previously required CE marking.

In the output options for the CE marking, Declaration of Performance and Print CE labels lists, you can select the UKCA marking as an option for CE marking.

  • For the CE marking, the UKCA marking and the Designated standard text are output.
  • For the Declaration of Performance, the Designated standard text is output.
  • For the Print CE labels option, the UKCA marking is output.

The following system description has been changed.

For the Schüco AWS 60 FRA window system, in addition to the doors from the Schüco ADS 60 CH system that could be used in the previous version, doors with the relevant profiles for France from the Schüco ADS 60 system can be used as of this version.

To differentiate between the two, select the option ADS or ADS CH as the Profile type for the door in the Field properties dialog box.

The system description has been changed accordingly.

II.3 Discontinued systems

The following systems have been removed from the Schüco range and will no longer be available in the program for new items.

The following systems have been removed from the Schüco range and will no longer be available in the program for new items.

II.4 Changes to aluminium systems

Product streamlining for all systems

The product streamlining for all systems will take effect with this program update. Some articles have been completely removed or replaced with new articles.

Extensive changes have been made to the pre-rolled profiles, for example. Please therefore check your settings in the Pre-rolled profile code dialog box (General > Master data > Article > Pre-rolled profile code). More information can be found in Schüco Docu Center.

Windows/doors (aluminium)

SimplySmart outward-opening window fitting:
(Order manual 1-3.2 SimplySmart (February 2022))

(Schüco AWS 50.NI to Schüco AWS 75.SI+ systems)

With this version, the changes to the fittings calculation are taken into account (minimum dimensions, locking positions, limiting stays, etc.). This also includes the integration of components that are relevant for safety, which you can specify in the Field properties dialog box (engagement spring catches (for windows only) and safety catches).

  • With the 2022 version, these updates are available from the start for single-vent opening types (except barrier-free window doors).
  • With the service pack that will be released at the end of March, calculation of the double-vent opening types and single-vent barrier-free window doors will be updated to match the latest version of the manual. Until then, please observe the order and fabrication manuals (order manual 1-3.2 SimplySmart (February 2022); fabrication manual 1-3.2 SimplySmart (February 2022)) for these openings.

Please note:

The change to the calculation affects existing items.

Schüco SimplySmart window fittings – barrier-free double-vent window doors:
Versions for zero level

(Schüco AWS 70.HI, Schüco AWS 75.SI+ and Schüco AWS 90.SI systems (not in the block and Design versions))

  • 422: TT/SH DIN left double-vent window door, barrier-free
  • 423: TT/SH DIN right double-vent window door, barrier-free
  • 432: TT/SH DIN left double-vent window door, barrier-free
  • 433: TT/SH DIN right double-vent window door, barrier-free

As of this version, the following versions can be selected for the opening types stated:

  • Inward-opening, barrier-free balcony/patio door, zero level, 50 mm installation depth (watertightness of 300 Pa / 7A)
  • Inward-opening, barrier-free balcony/patio door, zero level, 80 mm installation depth (watertightness of 300 Pa / 7A)

If one of these options is selected, the appropriate articles are calculated (gaskets, articles for the sill, fittings).

Schüco AvanTec SimplySmart and Schüco surface-mounted SimplySmart window fitting:
Schüco DriveTec – “Free ventilation area, geometric” (Ag) entry

 DriveTec (ventilation) operating type for items with opening types 100 and 101 (side-hung) and 204 (bottom-hung window (drive at top)):

As of this version, the free geometric ventilation area is calculated and displayed for your information.

The new Geometric ventilation area Ag selection list is available for this purpose in the Field properties dialog box under the Fittings group with the following options:

  • Surface area Ag without side triangles (rectangular area for bottom-hung at top / side-hung at side)
  • Surface area Ag including one triangular area (+ bottom hung at side, left or right / side-hung at top or bottom)
  • Surface area Ag including both triangular areas (+ bottom hung at side, left and right / side-hung at top and bottom)

The result of the respective calculation is displayed for you underneath (in square metres, rounded to 4 decimal places).

Schüco AW 40.NI:
Updates

(As of 2021 R3 SP07, system not available in all countries.)

  • The opening types 120/121 (projected side-hung windows) are no longer available for selection. Instead, the opening types 140/141 (side-hung window, stay) can be selected. The fittings are calculated according to the latest order manual.
    Please note:
    In the previous versions, the opening will be removed from the unit in existing items created with the opening types 120/121.
  • The fittings for opening types 221 (projected top-hung window), 100/101 (side-hung window) and 140/141 (double-vent side-hung/side-hung window) are calculated according to the latest order manual.

Technical settings:

  • The choice of colour for the Glazing gasket, outside has been removed.
  • The choice of Glazing bead type (Normal or Mitred), the Glazing bead size and the type of Glazing bead, outside (Screw-type or Can be clamped) are new.
  • Under the Drainage / ventilation group, a choice can be made between Plastic or Plastic with sealing cap for the Cap type.

Schüco Door Control System (DCS):
Discontinuation of components

Due to the discontinuation of certain components, the following changes will apply to new items when selecting options for the DCS access control system:

Standard DCS version

  • Art. 263076 (DCS connecting cable for second operating unit)
  • Art. 262992 (DCS code keypad) => The code keypad basic package has been removed.
  • Art. 262988 (DCS control unit) => The access control unit has been removed.

DCS version With Touch Display:

  • Art. 262995 (DCS Fingerprint) => The Fingerprint basic package has been removed.
  • Art. 262991 (DCS RFID reader) and 262993 (DCS RFID starter kit) => The RFID basic package has been removed.
  • Art. 263063 (DCS cable kit) => The DCS access control cable kit has been removed.

Unit editing

Door closers:
Default adjusted

As of this version, the TS 73, TS 83, TS 92, TS 93, ICT and ITS 96 door closers will be available in the article selection dialog box for door closers under the Door closers group. All other articles can be selected under the group Can also be used as a door closer.

Technical settings

Schüco ADS 60 CH, Schüco ADS 60 CH.HD:
Plastic cap type (for France)

(Not available in all countries.)

As of this version, you can choose between drainage caps Art. No. 217362, 217363 and 217364 for the visible drainage options in the technical settings (Drainage / ventilation group > Cap type > Plastic (for France).

Schüco DriveTec – details for the positioning of the chain and locking drives and the control units

 DriveTec (ventilation) operating type for items with opening types 100 and 101 (side-hung) and 204 (bottom-hung window (drive at top)):

As of this version, dimensions for the positioning of the chain and locking drives and the control units are output in the following lists: The dimensions relate to the variables in the K drawings and work preparation sheets.

  • Window vent and fittings list (as an additional row)

Machine control

Collision check for cable link connector, emergency exit control and access control:
Note if preparations are not generated

If a cable link connector, emergency exit control unit or access control unit has been entered, the position of the automatically generated preparation is checked to see if it collides with other components. If necessary, the position is adjusted slightly. If there is not sufficient space, the preparation is not generated. As of this version, you will receive a corresponding notification.

Sliding units (aluminium)

Schüco ASE 60 and Schüco ASE 80.HI:
Spandrel safety barrier (French balcony) for the TipTronic operating type as well

In the previous versions, you could enter a spandrel safety barrier in front of the moving vent running internally for the single-track types listed if Sliding or Lift-and-slide was selected as the operating type. As of this version, this is also possible for units with Sliding with TipTronic and Lift-and-slide with TipTronic selected as the operating type (Field properties dialog box > Spandrel safety barrier group).

For the TipTronic operating type, installation position E2 and the security sensor are always set as default. An interlock protection cover or sensor strip cannot be installed in combination with spandrel safety barriers.

Schüco ASE 60, Schüco ASE 80.HI and Schüco ASE 80 LC:
Modified minimum vent height for fittings with high installation height of the handle

As part of the adjustments to the Order and Fabrication manual, a changed minimum vent height for the use of the fitting with high installation height of the handle (1754 mm instead of 1934 mm) applies from this version.

Please note:

This change affects existing elements that have vent heights between 1754 mm to 1934 mm and for which you have set the fittings option to automatic. In this case, instead of the fittings option with the lower installation height the fittings option with the higher installation height is determined from this version onwards.

Please check these units and adjust the fittings option if necessary.

Schüco ASS 41 SC FRA:
Various additions

(Not available in all countries.)

The following additions have been made for the entry of units from this system:

As of this version, single-track types running internally can also be entered. (Type 1A.B, type 1A.B.2, type 1D.B, type 1D.B.A)

Fittings:

  • Anti-lift-out device Art. No. 281488 can be selected as an option (Field properties dialog box > Fittings group).
  • When calculating the tracks and roller carriages, the following dependencies are taken into account: vent size and vent weight, the setting for the track (aluminium or stainless steel) in the technical settings and – New for the 2022 version – the setting for the Roller carriage in the Field properties dialog box (Fittings group).
    Exception: barrier-free threshold. For this, roller carriage Art. No. 265808 is always calculated.

Technical settings:

  • For the single-track types, you can specify if the angle or the strip is to be calculated as a cover for the interlock profile.
  • The colour of the thermal cover profile can be specified under the Colour group.
  • You can specify if you want to calculate optional gasket Art. No. 27830 by checking the box next to Rebate gasket for vent with centre gasket under the Gasket group.
  • For units with a flat threshold, you can specify the design (mill finish or anodised) by means of the new Cover profile, threshold setting (Colour group).

Technical settings

Schüco ASS 50, Schüco ASE 60/80.HI, Schüco ASE 80 LC:
Change in the calculation of the detachable installation clip

For transportation, detachable installation clips can be used which, following installation, then need to be replaced with non-detachable clamping profiles. Under the Type group in the technical settings, you could previously choose between the detachable assembly clips and the non-detachable clamping profiles. As of this version, when you select the detachable assembly clips, the same number of non-detachable clamping profiles are also calculated. The Detachable option has been renamed With additional assembly clips.

This change affects existing items. Adjust the technical setting as required.

Schüco ASE 80 LC:
Optional fittings make-up piece

(As of 2021 R3 SP04. Not available in all countries. Only with special activation code.)

Fittings make-up piece Art. No. 203207 that was previously always calculated. Calculation now depends on your defaults in the technical settings (Type group > Fittings make-up piece). The fittings make-up piece is not calculated as standard.

Façades (aluminium)

Schüco AWS 114 and Schüco AWS 114.SI insert units:
Fittings options for Schüco TipTronic SimplySmart parallel-opening windows

For opening type 270: Parallel-opening window in the TipTronic version, there are the following new features:

  • Fittings options 3 and 4 for “master/slave” operation can be selected.
  • Fittings option 6 can be selected.

Schüco AWS 114 and Schüco AWS 114.SI insert units:
Projected top-hung insert unit – information about planned update

  • 221: Projected top-hung window

Please note:

Revised calculation of the minimum dimensions and the integration of components that are relevant for safety (engagement spring catches and safety catches) for the projected top-hung window (opening type 221) is planned for the R2 2022 version.

Schüco FWS 50, Schüco FWS 60:
Changes due to product streamlining

As part of product streamlining, the following settings options have been removed from the program:

Unit parameters:

  • Thermal insulation: The options HI and SI.Green have been removed (Schüco FWS 50, Schüco FWS 60).
  • Design, interior: The Add-on construction option has been removed (Schüco FWS 60 only).
  • Technical settings:
  • Under the Type group, the Edge radius for cover profile property has been removed: For mullion and transom profiles with an additional chamber to accommodate flats, the profile is now always calculated with 1.5 mm (Schüco FWS 50 only).

Schüco FWS 60 CV:
Basic depth of 65 mm has been removed

As part of product streamlining, the profiles for the 65 mm basic depth have been removed. For new items, the Basic depth unit parameter will therefore no longer be available.

Schüco AF UDC 80 SG:
Bonding with glass replacement frame

(As of 2021 R3 SP02)

For the unitized fade with an all-glass look, you can select the option Bonding with glass replacement frame as the Bonding method in the unit parameters. This options allows the glass to be replaced quickly and easily in the event of breakage.

Schüco AF UDC 80, CV version:
Concealed projected top-hung window insert unit (CV)

281: Projected top-hung window

Please note:

With the service pack that is to be released at the end of April 2022, revised calculation of the minimum dimensions and the integration of components that are relevant for safety (engagement spring catches and safety catches) will be made available. The calculation of existing items will then change. Please therefore observe the order and fabrication manuals (BK 2-7 Unitised façades (February 2022); fabrication manual 2-7 Unitised façades (February 2022)) for these openings.

Technical settings

Schüco AF UDC 80, Schüco AF UDC 80 SG:
Calculation of the articles for façade fixings

In the previous versions, the articles for the façade fixings were always calculated automatically (brackets, floor panels). As of this version, you can define the calculation using the new Façade fixing technical setting under the Installation group. The box is unchecked by default.

The fixing points for the preliminary structural calculation continue to be calculated independently of your setting.

Please note:

This change affects your existing items. The articles for the façade fixings are no longer calculated. You have to check the box for the item, if required.

Schüco AF UDC 80:
Unpunched pressure plates

As of this version, there is the option to calculate unpunched pressure plates in addition to the pre-punched pressure plates with hole spacing of 250 mm or 500 mm. For these unpunched pressure plates, the screws are not calculated automatically and must be entered as additional material (quantity according to structural requirements).

The Hole spacing for pressure plates setting under the Type group has been renamed Pressure plates. You will find the additional option of Unpunched there.

Preliminary structural calculation

Schüco AF UDC 80, Schüco AF UDC 80 SG:
Distance between blocks

As of this version, you can influence the result of the preliminary structural calculation by changing the position of the glazing blocks. To do this, you have to call up the Preliminary structural calculation dialog box in the item window. In the Insulating glass values properties list, under the Distance between blocks group you will find the fields for the different purposes with the corresponding default values.

(Frame, UF: 87 mm, Sash bar, UF: 100 mm, Corner sash bar, UF: 99 mm). The reference points for the dimension to the centre of the glazing block are the outer edge of the UF frame, the outer edge of the UF sash bar and the gasket chamber of the UF corner sash bar.

These distances can each be reduced to min. 50 mm and increased to max. 300 mm.
